Since I do not follow racing, who is the Horse? Certainly a beautiful one. The priest is hilarious. It was good to come here for a laugh after overloading on politics. Good post Bryn:)
You are so right Bryn, but I think the goal is to wear us down. Once we give up, they will swoop in full force. I think I suspected you raced, but was not positive. When I first began reading you, I read about a horse that was put down and I got an inkling then that you were more than a casual horse owner. Thanks again for the chuckle. Even called my husband over to watch it.
You are free to decide where and with whom you stand. You do not, however, have the right to try to change the Catholic Church to suit your opinions or wishes. No matter how brilliant you are, you are not above the Magisterium. No matter how persuasive the political position, you cannot ignore the law of the Church and the Natural Law. Doctrine and Orthodoxy may be distasteful words in this age of personal freedoms, but if you call yourself Catholic, you need to know what Catholic doctrine actually says and follow it.
